Online Casino Conditions >>> Roulette Tips >>> Understanding Roulette Systems and Gambling Strategies

For those who are curious about using a strategy to play online roulette, the concept of "gambling system" is sure to grab their attention sooner or later.  If they have not already been turned off by other players who decry gambling systems with a vengeance, these love/hate strategies will at the least, appear to be cerebrally planned out.  For the online gambler who likes to bet unpredictable and with intuitive hunches, it is understandable why a system would not be appealing.

The first thing to know about roulette systems is that all of them have inherent weaknesses.  Gamblers must admit this to themselves if they expect to properly compensate for these weaknesses when consistently playing a roulette system.  If one were to take a look at statistical evidence, it would show that any of the roulette systems will eventually cause an online gambler to lose money.  Smart players know this, and instead of using a system, they will know the right time to take their money and leave the wheel.

Roulette is very popular in Europe (the European version that is), and as such, there are many gamblers who use one of several systems to play the game.  Likewise, many of these systems and their modifications have arisen from Europe.  One reason for this is that European Roulette gives a very attractive Casino Advantage of 1.35% for outside bets.  What may seem like good word for gambling systems is simply just a large number of European players who prefer roulette and who consistently bring back a small but steady profit playing the game.  However, there is more to this story than using a system.

Some of the most popular systems used by online roulette players include the Martingale, D'Alembert, Labouchere, and a system of making null bets.  There are reversal systems to each of these, but are likewise not recommended for the novice or medium stake player, as the reversal systems can put a lot of money on the line.  If you insist on playing with a strategy, first find out the tricks that smart players use and practice them for yourself.  If you feel confident in using a system, do so if you must.  Just remember that the key to optimizing all of them actually goes against conventional strategy.
