We recently reported on an online casino that was given rogue status by the
internet gaming industry at large. The news of the "rogueing" was a surprise for
many considering the great anticipation leading up to the launch of the casino.
Primarily because of the reputation and experience of the sites owners, the
industry was looking forward to another positive addition to the increasingly
growing pool of credible online casinos.
Based out of Australia, the site is using software powered by Real Time
Gaming. Certainly a great software platform, what made the site look even more
promising is that the owners promised to address player mediations if they were
to arise through the industry's top player advocate and watchdog, Casinomeister.
For the first couple of months the site was online, things were looking great.
However, a string of delayed payouts soon began to take place, as well as an
apparent silence from the casinos owners when asked to address and rectify the
situation. After an unusual amount of delayed payouts, the site was rightfully rogued by many of the industry's most well known gaming operations.
What is the lesson to be learned from all this? Well, sometimes you never can
tell. However, the fact of the matter is that in this particular case, nobody
was denied payout, which certainly would warrant a blacklisting. Especially with
newer casinos, the payout system can be tricky at first. Some credit cards go
through, some do not accept withdrawals...you know the deal.
Always know your
payout options ahead of time, and do not freak out if your payment is ever
delayed. Sometimes it happens. As always, only play at sites with the proper
credentials.
