Short Playing Pai Gow Strategy
Here is a quick strategy for playing Pai Gow Poker:
-Always set the two card hand as high as you can
without taking away from the five-card hand.
-To break even with your two-card hand you need
to be holding at least an Ace/8. To break even
with your five-card hand you need to be holding at
least two Jacks. The key is to try and exceed
the break even point with both hands.
- If holding a high card hand, two-card the
second and third highest ranked cards
-If holding a one pair hand, two-card the two
highest single cards
-If holding a two-pair hand, split the pair if
not holding a single Ace and split 7,7 or better and
J,J if holding a single ace.
-If holding a Three-of-a-kind hand, only split
triple Aces.
-If holding a Straight, five card the lowest five
ranked cards in the straight.
-If holding a Flush, five card the lowest five
ranked cards in the flush.
