How to Play Bingo Online

If you were only so unfortunate to not have had the experience of playing Bingo in elementary school, then it is far past due for you to learn how to play this very fun and sociable game.  Bingo is now available online, and is actually a common sidekick site to many online casinos sites, poker rooms and sportsbooks.  It has developed a huge following in the online gaming community, and surprisingly awards some very large jackpots at sites where numerous players get together to join in on the fun.

To start playing bingo, you must first purchase a card.  Depending on the jackpot size, the cost of the card will vary.  Sometimes they can be as low as under a dollar, while other times they can be as high as hundreds of dollars.  Some online bingo games even come with ever-increasing progressive jackpots.  But back to the game:

Once you have your online bingo card, you will notice that the letters B-I-N-G-O are spelled at the top of the card, and correspond to five rows of numbers.  In total, there are 25 spaces on the bingo card - formed from a grid of five intersecting columns and rows.  Each space has a number, which varies from card to card.  The grid space directly at the center of the card is considered Free, which you may mark through on the card.

To get started playing, slot spaces are drawn and called out, which a player will mark through if they happen to have that particular numbered grid.  For instance, if I-10 is called out, any player who has the number 10 in the column directly under the I of BINGO, may mark through that space.  The first player who marks through enough adjacent spaces to form a specific pattern wins.  Usually, patterns are a series of five consecutive horizontal, vertical or diagonal spaces, although some patterns like "four-corners" and an entire card "blackout" are played at times.
