If you have ever read any of our
online casino reviews,
you probably noticed that in every review there is a
section regarding a casinos gaming policies and Terms and
Conditions, commonly referred to as the T&C's. And while it
may seem like a lot of jargon, there is a good reason why
we include these in our reviews.
The terms and conditions
are a legally binding contract between you and the online
casino owner and operator. When you sign up to open an
account, you are legally bound to these terms, as governed
by the jurisdiction in which the gaming site is registered
and licensed.
This does not mean that because a site is
licensed by a reputable gaming commission, their terms and
conditions are going to be necessarily fair. It simply
means that as an internet user, you would not be protected
by the courts of law in your country of residence.
Basically, you are in foreign waters. And even if you
weren't, the terms and conditions are a legally binding
contract that is going to protect the casino no matter
what court of law it falls under!
That being said, we
cannot underestimate the importance of reading the terms
and conditions of each gaming site you are considering to
open an account with. As tedious as this can be, this is
why we include this section in the reviews of all online
casinos listed on our site. It lets you know that we
ourselves have read them and have found nothing to be out
of the ordinary.
Nonetheless, it is
always still a good idea for you to get into the
practice of reading them as well. We will elaborate
further on this point in our next tip, going into
more detail about the terms themselves, as well as
the universally accepted practices that online
casinos operate by.
