Card and Game Rules Taught by Las Vegas Casinos

Many gamblers who step inside a Las Vegas casino often do not know the rules of many games offered on the gaming lobby floor.  As a result, many visitors to Las Vegas will stick to playing low denominations and/or games that are simple to play - like slot machines.

And while it is true that casinos make most of their money off of the slot machines, and that they would ever be so happy to have more players sitting at the banks of machines, it is statistically clear that the more gamblers there are who know how to play the games, the more action - and ultimately the more money - a casino will get in their pocket.

This is why many Las Vegas casinos offer free gaming lessons to the public.  Highly trained instructors explain the rules for the game in question, and will play practice games with the students themselves, using play money chips.  Different scenarios are intentionally created so that potential players will see how results are paid out and what the different odds are.  Students will even learn the appropriate jargon and procedures used for playing each game.

These free classes are very helpful, and understandably, are very popular with players as well.  Not just newbie players take advantage of these free lessons, but experienced gamblers who need some brushing up will frequent these as well.

It is best to get to the casino early if you would like to get hands-on practice.  Since these classes fill up fast, if you don't arrive early, you may have to watch from the back, which at the least, is still a good way to learn the ropes of a game.
