France Expected to
Win Group Over Switzerland
The last group in our series of opening games for
the 2006 World Cup consists of Switzerland, Togo,
Korea Republic and the favorite, France. There
is good reason for France finishing first in this
group, for the competition is not all too tough.
Switzerland will give them their toughest challenge,
which will be the first match for both teams.
As for Togo and Korea, both these teams should not
pose too much risk against the talented French team.
As for Switzerland,
they will give the French a good game, and not all
bets are off for the hard working Swiss. They
will very likely prevail against the Koreans, who
although do well at home, are predicted to be
dominated by the European playing style. Korea
is known for playing an overzealous match, which
will not stand well against the good stamina of
France and Switzerland.
Togo, on the other
hand, will likely fold against the Koreans, for Togo
is the least powerful team in the group, and would
do well for themselves if they can manage to score
goals and stay within striking reach in all of their
games. The best action will likely go down in the
opening game between France and Switzerland, while
Togo and Korea will be an entertaining game worth
watching.
