If you are an avid gambler, you have probably been to Las
Vegas already. If not, then you definitely should consider
taking a break from the online casinos to experience this
gambling wonderland.
If you have been to Vegas, you
probably know how expensive it can be. For most people,
planning a trip to Las Vegas adds up quick. Considering
the cost of the airfare, hotel stay, dining out and
gambling in the casinos, you better save up your money
before thinking about a vacation in Sin City. However,
just because Las Vegas is inherently expensive, doesn't
mean it has to be. Besides getting your airline ticket far
in advance, there are several things worth looking into
that may be able to help you cut back on your expenses.
Once you have determined the resort in which you are
planning to stay at, inquire ahead of time about joining
their casino comp program. Although you will not have
racked up any comp points just yet it is still worth a try
to ask if you can get a room discount when making the
reservation (being a member of the Player's Club). On that
note, instead of making the reservation on the internet,
do so over the telephone so that you can make your request
in person, so to speak.
In regards to dining, if you plan
on gambling when you are in Vegas (and who isn't?), make
sure you use your Comp player's card every time you make a
wager. Comp points add up quick - And if you are smart
enough to stretch out your bankroll, you will have racked
up enough points to get yourself some free meals at the
resort. If you still need some meals filled, do some
research and find our where the all-you-can-eat lunch
buffets are, which will likely help you get through both
lunch and dinner.
One area where you can really save some
money when going to Vegas is in the airfare. Depending on
where you live, a flight to Vegas can end up be the most
expensive thing of all. Although it is never guaranteed,
you can actually get free airfare if you allow yourself to
get bumped from a flight.
Many people don't know that
airlines always overbook their flights to allow room for
cancellations and changed itineraries. While overbooking
usually works on the airline's behalf, sometimes everyone
shows up on time and there are not enough seats on the
plane. When this happens, the airline will ask for
volunteers to be bumped off the plane and catch the next
available flight. The rewards for doing so are a free
flight and sometimes even some spending cash for while you
wait. It's worth a shot, if your schedule has some
flexibility to it. Just remember that you will need to
check in at the gate and inform the attendant you want to
be a volunteer. Try to check in early because it is a
first come first serve basis. In our next tip we will talk
about the different versions of a very popular online
casino game, Roulette.
