Here at Online Casino Conditions, we realize that many of
the players who visit our site to gamble at online
casinos, also like to gamble in Las Vegas. That being the
case, we occasionally like to give brief reviews and
updates on some of the many resorts in Sin City. One
property that has recently been getting some major
enhancements - and with more expected in the near future -
is the Luxor Resort.
Famously known as the Pyramid on the
Strip, the Luxor is currently in Phase One of a
comprehensive two-phase enhancement project. MGM recently
issued a press release with a timeline of all the ongoing
improvements, as well as those to come.
Following the
opening of the Restore Pool Lounge and Aurora lounge,
which is a beautiful display of the Aurora Borealis, the Luxor has been busy getting ready for the Labor Day
opening of the LAX Nightclub and Noir Bar, which are both
being developed by Pure Management. Catering to the hip
and elite crowd of clubbers, LAX promises to be a prime
nightlife destination on the Strip, while Noir Bar will
exclusively be reserved for elite guests.
Also included in Luxor's Phase I enhancement are new restaurants,
bar/lounges and entertainment options. Opening in the Fall
of 2007 is the restaurant "Company", which will specialize
in fine American food and feature some of the most
talented chefs in the world. A trendy, yet comfortable
setting best describes this fine-dining experience.
Another restaurant coming to the Luxor (in March, 2008) is
the Luxor Steak House. In addition to many beef options,
the menu will apparently feature seafood and lamb - all
amidst a safari setting of animal prints and dark leather.
But before Luxor Steak House, guests will get a chance to
dine in the CatHouse. Doubling as an ultra lounge, the
CatHouse is a modern version of a 19th Century French
bordello, candied with all kinds of voyeuristic charm,
including lingerie models doing choreographed vignettes on
raised platforms.
Also coming in the Fall is the Flight
Bar and Liquidity Lounge, which will feature a water theme
"spilling" over into the newly remodeled casino floor. The
capper of Phase I enhancements at the Luxor will come in
the Summer of 2008, when illusionist Criss Angel opens a
new Cique du Soleil show in a customized theatre.
As you
can see, Luxor is taking some major steps to become one of
the hottest casinos on the Strip. They may just get away
with it.
