Keeping Casino
Game Strategy Simple and EffectiveToday's tip is about keeping it simple.
We have all
probably sought out to learn a gambling strategy at some
point in time, whether it was for a specific game or to
simply help manage one's money. Especially after
doing an internet search for strategy tips or gaming
advice, there is a good chance that we will have come
across some very deep information that might as well be
presented in another language - because in essence - that
is all it was.
Many times, when reading
game-specific strategy tips or even articles written by
the pros, unless you are a mathematician or are very
advanced in you strategy, gleaming the information can be
practically impossible. And if you think that you
understand (or are made to believe that you do not need to
understand, but only need to do what the strategy tells
you to do), and try to put the strategy to use via the
"memorization and regurgitate" method, you are very likely
going to give yourself plenty of mind-taxing stress and
aguish.
Take, for instance, the question of whether
one should stand or hit on a soft seventeen playing
blackjack. There are some gamblers who will whip out
the calculator and begin by generating percentage tables
and bar graphs to prove their point. And while this
is perfectly fine for those who can handle the
intellectualities of graphs and percentages, most players
will just want to know what will deliver the best odds,
and if such is the case, whether going through the
strategic notions will be worth the actual return.
In other words, if a particular strategy requires one to
complete a complex mathematical formula, but only brings
the House Edge down by one hundredth of a percent, is it
really worth the effort? Considering odds and
payout, no, it is not. In fact, it can cause more damage
than good, when it is distracting from a players intuitive
hunches. Remember, gambling is gambling, which means
that it is still a game of chance - one which can benefit
from both hunches and strategy. Keep the strategy
simple, stay dedicated to the strategy, and act on hunches
every now and again.
