Taking Chances at an Online Casinos With Easy Deposits
by Mike Harrison, Strategy and Games Writer

We recently had a player contact us regarding online casino deposit methods. Apparently the player was from the U.S. and was having a difficult time finding deposit methods suited to their convenience. After one or two unsuccessful attempts to open an account, the player emailed us.

He explained that he would email online casinos, who would then reply in the affirmative that he could, in fact, open an account and make real money deposits/withdrawals. The player claims that he would then be unsuccessful at opening an account, and would consequently ditch his attempts and try another site.

After conversing with the player via a few emails, it became apparent to us that he was acting in a rash manner, and was, ultimately, making things harder for himself. First off, the player would only settle for making deposits with his credit cards. Everything else was too "inconvenient" to him. When we referred him to Golden Casino, he emailed back saying he would only be able to make deposits with MoneyGram or Western Union, which he considered "too hard" to make.

Furthermore, when the player would hit road blocks while attempting to open an account at other online casinos he was told would facilitate his deposit methods of choice, he would simply give up. What he should have done was call the casinos Customer Support and have them guide him through the registration process.

What baffled us the most about this player's behavior is that he opted to gamble at a gaming site that was apart of a notorious gaming network and had been blacklisted for repeated non-payment of player winnings. In other words, this player was willing to risk not being paid out at all instead of making a trip to the nearest Western Union (and they are all over the place) to make a legitimate deposit at a reputable gaming site that guaranteed fair odds and payouts.

Unfortunately, this is what proponents of internet gambling regulation have feared all along. Players are still going to gamble on the Web, only now, the chances for getting scammed by rogue online casinos has increased. Again, we cannot overemphasize how important it is for players to only play at those sites with reputable track records and who operate a transparent website with the proper credentials. For players having a difficult time opening an account, don't give up. You may have to do a little more legwork, however, at least you know you will be in good hands.
