While the idea of using mobile phones to gamble online is an exciting novelty, just because the service is available does not mean it should be used by every gambler who owns a cellular phone.

Realistically speaking, using a mobile phone to play online casino games is more a temptation than a good chance to win some fast money.  Of course, mobile gambling is a great option for a professional gambler/online poker player who needs to place a bet but is nowhere near a computer.  Mobile gaming is even useful for recreational gamblers who have some money to spend and are bored out of their mind. 

However, the best use that comes from placing bets with a mobile phone is to put last-minute stakes on a sporting event.  Since the odds on these events can fluctuate from second to second, sometimes it is in a bettors best interest to hold out for placing their bets, which a mobile phone may readily facilitate.
