Playing the Caribbean Poker Jackpot -
Part I
An obvious incentive for
Caribbean Stud players is the progressive jackpot.
If a player was to get a Royal Flush after making
the progressive, the entire progressive jackpot
would be theirs. However, as nice as this
sounds, depending on the amassed size of the
jackpot, it is not always worthwhile making the
progressive bet.
This may sound like heresy to some - And while it
is true that you will not be eligible for the
largest progressive earnings possible if you do not
make the bet (or in the case of progressive slots,
make the maximum bet), there are times when the
chances of getting the higher ranked hands are not
worth taking.
It is entirely the players option to make the
progressive bet or not, which incidentally, is
always an additional $1 on top of the initial bet.
Although unlikely, keep in mind that even if the
dealers hand is better than yours, you will still
win your cut of the progressive jackpot if you are
holding a Flush, Full House, Four-of-a-Kind,
Straight Flush, or Royal Flush.
