Vegas Technology software
offers two versions of Roulette to their online casino licensees. If you need
some help on this one, just ask yourself what the two most common versions found
in land-based casinos are. That's right. American and European (As if there
really even needed to be two versions so close to one another anyways). Most
roulette enthusiasts will tell you that European Roulette is the better game -
And if you go by the Casino Edge, European Roulette is indeed a better option,
offering a lower Edge in the long run. Either way, both versions essentially
offer the same bets and are played in exactly the same manner and format.
On the
Vegas Technology platform, the minimum bet amount is $1, while the maximum bet
on a single inside bet is $100, and $300 for single outside bets. The maximum
table bet (and you can squeeze lots of bets on the table at once) is $14,800.
Unless you are a high roller, let's hope it doesn't get to that point for you.
$14,800 is a lot of money no matter how rich you are. And since you are going to
be the only player at the table when gambling at online casinos (unless of
course you run into a multi-player software platform), all the chips on the
table will be the same colors (they only vary depending on the denomination).
The payouts for Vegas Technology Roulette are the same standard you will find in
Las Vegas. For straight bets it is 35:1, split bets pay 17:1, street bets pay
17:1, corner bets pay 8:1, six number bets pay 5:1, dozens bets and column bets
pay 2:1, and any even/odd, red/black or hi/low bets pay 1:1.
In terms of the
betting layout, clicking directly on the chips chooses the denomination size,
while clicking in the appropriate spaces on the roulette table will place live
bets. Right clicking over existing bets or clicking the "Clear" button will
remove them from the table. When all bets are made, simply click the Spin button
and the ball is sent rolling. You can see the roulette wheel spinning in real
time, as well as a zoom window that clearly shows the slot the ball settles in.
After doing so, all bets are paid out and the player is given an option to
either "Rebet" or "Clear" the table.
A real time history screen is shown on the
left-hand side of the playing screen, detailing the color and numeric value
results of all wheel spins. Customizable options include playing without
live-motion graphics and including ambient and game sounds.
