Coping With
Gambling Losses in the Casino
When gambling on the internet or at a land-based
destination, there is always a price for doing so.
Sometimes that price is paid out to us - the
gamblers - but more often than not, the price to
gamble goes to the House. In other words,
there are more losers than winners.
Looking at gambling
just from this angle does not make it look like a
very tempting activity. However, when one looks at
the overall picture, the fact that there are more
losers than winners is justified to an acceptable
degree.
It is up to every
gambler to first understand that betting is an
entertainment activity. Therefore, if you go home
with less money than you started off with, and were
able to burn up a few hours during the process, you
have paid for your entertainment much like you would
have paid for a ticket when going to see a movie.
Staying positive about
your experience, you will be able to hold out hope
until your next gambling session, during which you
will have the chance once again to take home a very
large jackpot, or, at least a sizable sum that will
offset all of your prior losses. In other
words, you are buying your time to be in the next
batch of lucky players who will inevitably take home
more money than first starting off with.
The most important
thing to keep in mind are your losing limits, as
well as stretching out your bankroll as long as
possible without getting too far below your
beginning sum. If you play with a sound strategy,
this will not be difficult at all. And with a
little luck you will end up in the green. If you
play non-strategy games, take your time at them, and
always to remember to have fun throughout the entire
process.
