One of the best things any sports bettor can do to insure they are making the most opportune bets is to do their homework.  Especially now that the internet is available for making internet sports wagers, and simultaneously serves as a seemingly endless portal of information and real-time news, every sports bettor should be doing as much research as they possibly can. 

Sportsbooks have become so large and are covering so many games at once, that it is practically impossible for them to update their odds as accurately as possible at a single time.  And although modern-day bookies also have a wealth of information at their disposal, they will always put more time into games that are more popular with bettors. 

This is why it is a good tip for bettors to put some research into the lesser known (and less popular) sporting conferences, such as the Western Athletic Conference (WAC).  If you have the time to focus your research and energies into a conference like this, you can become an expert if you stay vigilant and dedicated. 

And when you are on top of your game more than the sportsbooks, you obviously have a greater chance of winning and scooping up those lines that the bookie does not know any better for posting since they did not go to the extent of research or follow the news as closely as you have been.
