The casino craps table can be something of a Tower of Babble if you step up to it not knowing anything about the different types of bets and terms, which the table personnel and other craps players seemingly know very well, but yet, come across as being a different language. The reason being is because that is precisely what the game of craps is to most beginners - a different language.

Although you will not find much of the wordy jargon and high-energy distractions at craps tables in online casinos, you should still be up to par with the various terms and bets which are posted on the table itself and which the dealer may throw your way.

Therefore, we now present to you part one of our six-part series of craps terms, or rather, a craps glossary:  "Aces" thru "Big Red"

Aces - This is a bet that the next dice roll will be a 2 (snake eyes)
Advantage
- This is the same advantage also referred to as the Casinos Edge, which is the advantage the House has over the player on any given bet
Any Craps
- This is a bet on a single dice roll predicting the outcome to be 2,3 or 12
Any Seven
- A bet on a single roll predicting the dice outcome to be a 7 (the most frequently rolled number on the board)
Arm
- Players may refer to a dice roller on a winning streak as being hot or simply an arm (meaning their arm knows how to roll'em)
Back Line
- Another term used for the Don't Pass Line
Behind the Line
- This is a bet placed on free odds after the come out roll and point number has been established
Betting Right
- Phrase used to designate when one is making pass line bets and come bets (in favor of the the shooter, or, dice roller)
Betting Wrong
- The opposite of Betting Right, this is when one is making don't pass bets and don't come bets (against the shooter)
Big Eight
- An even-money bet predicting the dice will roll an 8 before a 7
Big Six
- An even-money bet predicting the dice will roll a 6 before rolling a 7
Big Red - Term used for an Any 7 bet.
