Online Casino Conditions >>> Vegas Strip Blackjack Rules

Vegas Strip Blackjack is precisely what you primarily find in the heart of Las Vegas. Many Strip casinos offers this version, which slightly differs from its cousin, Vegas Downtown Blackjack, in the number of decks and when the dealer is supposed to stand. For players who plan of gambling at the blackjack tables on the Strip, this a good version to practice at online casinos.

General Playing Rules:

  • Four decks of fifty-two cards each are used to play each hand of Vegas Strip Blackjack.

  • The hole card is always checked for Blackjack if the dealer's upturned card is either of ten-value or an Ace. If the dealer is holding Blackjack, the game is over and the player loses their bet. The player will have the option of taking insurance first.

  • The dealer must stand on all seventeen's, including soft seventeen's.

  • Surrendering one's hand to the online casino is not permitted.

Betting Structure and Payouts:

  • All Blackjacks (Ace/Ten value card) automatically stand, and are paid out 3:2.

  • All tied hands - including Blackjacks - are pushed, thus returning all wagers back to the player.

  • All bets are lost when the dealer hits Blackjack.

Splitting Hands:

  • Hands with two cards of the same denomination (two 10's) or value (a face card and a 10) can be split into two separate hands.

  • A maximum of three splits can take place per game, resulting in four live hands at once.

  • Two Aces can only be split once, and if done so, are only allowed one additional card per hand.

  • Doubling down is allowed on a split hand.

Insurance:

  • When the dealer is dealt an Ace for their showing card, the player is given the chance to take Insurance.

  • After being given the chance to take Insurance, the dealer will check for Blackjack. If holding a Blackjack, the player will be paid 2:1 for taking the Insurance bet (which must be in the amount of half the players original stake).

  • The insurance bet is independent from the player's initial stake, meaning the original wager will be lost to the casino if the Insurance bet wins.

  • Insurance can only be taken after the initial two cards are dealt to the player and dealer.
