The aforementioned casinos are the regions largest, and are responsible for drawing tens of thousands of gamblers every day to their casino floors. It may sound hard to believe, but Connecticut does in fact have a rather large tourism industry. Being one of the most beautiful states in the U.S., many outside visitors and residents of relatively nearby states come to Connecticut's southeast shoreline, not to mention the rural areas dotted with beautiful, historic homes and scenic pastorals.
