Online casino software manufacturer, Cryptologic - who will be changing their
company headquarters from Canada overseas to Ireland - is making true on their
word to continue diversifying their product offering to the online gaming
industry. The company just announced they have signed a five-year contract with
FreshGames to develop an online slot version of the popular casual game, Cubis.
Similar to the classic Rubix Cube, Cubis is a three-dimensional puzzle game that
has garnered a popular following with online casual gamers.
No longer doing business with U.S. players, Cryptologic is undoubtedly
seeking to pull from as many resources as possible to make up for the lost
business that U.S. players brought to the company. Cryptologic actually played
their cards right, for although U.S. players will still continue to gamble at
online casinos (who will continue to keep processing bets outside of U.S.
jurisdiction), they have been focusing their assets and future developments in
the European and Asian online gambling sector.
Now, much like they did with the popular casual game, Bejewelled, Cryptologic
will be offering a new casual game turned slot machine to their online casino
licensees who will soon offer the game as an upgrade to the software platform.
Existing players will be able to selectively download the Cubis game in addition
to the existing offering of Cryptologic games. The expected release date for the
game will be sometime near the end of the fourth quarter of 2006, and will be
available through Cryptologic's subsidiary online casino software developer,
WagerLogic.
As for Cubis, the online version of this casual game already gets downloaded
seven million times a month, and will invariably be popular with the horde of
slot machine gamblers who hitherto made the Bejewelled casino slot machine the
popular game it is today. Cubis consistently ranks as one of the Top Ten games
played by user's of AOL, Yahoo and MSN, and is on tap to be one of nine casual
games released with the latest iPods. The slot version will feature fifteen
paylines, a maximum payout of 50,000 coins and coin sizes as little as one penny
to as high as $300 per spin. The release of Cubis will make over sixty new
online casino game releases by Cryptologic since 2004.
