World Poker Tour Releases Poker
Game With Online Help
Casino Conditions StaffThe
World Poker Tour - in its quest to promote and
popularize Texas Hold'em Poker even more - has
released a video game base on the actual tour.
Designed and built by 2K Sports for the X Box, Play
Station and Game Boy Advance, the game is now
available at retail stores.
Endorsed and licensed by World Poker Tour Enterprises, who is also
responsible for negotiating television contracts for broadcast games, the highly
realistic poker casino game lets players become some of the Tours most famous
players and gamble in virtual recreations of the casinos that housed many of the
tours traveling tournaments, such as the Bellagio and Casino Europa. It
even includes commentary by the familiar faces of Mike Sexton and Mr. Van
Patten.
Called the World Poker Tour 2K6, a feature of the game that should be of
great value to serious poker players is that it enables the PS2 camera
peripheral, which lets gamers show their poker faces and give more credit to
bluffing technique. This is often hard to decipher in virtual games of
poker, and is a nice option if one seeks to increase the challenge. There is
also online support for new users needing some technical guidance.
The game is selling in retail stores at a very reasonable price of $19.99.
Look for it at any store where the X Box and Play Station 2 can be purchased.
It is also available through online shops.
