On October 20, 2005, online casino gambling professionals from around the world are scheduled to meet in Paris, France for a single day conference designed to discuss and explain current internet gambling laws and recently passed legislation primarily affecting European and UK online casinos.

Largely in response to the passing of the UK Gambling Bill, online casino operators are eager to find out more about this bill and the laws that are currently being passed as a direct result. Even though the laws primarily in question affect European online casinos, it is believed that several online casino operators and sportsbooks from other countries such as the U.S. will be in attendance at the conference. A highly anticipated event, it is thought the conference will help to steer the course of the online casino industry for several years to come, and will be imperative in helping to pass certain laws and provisions of the current UK Bill.

Lobbyists in the UK have been very busy as of late, trying to incorporate legislation into the UK Gambling Bill that will permit online casinos to be legally run from within UK borders so long as each online casino is strictly regulated and upheld to high standards of gaming fairness and ethics. Perhaps using this as a protocol for world-wide internet gambling regulation, representatives from other countries and the European Union will unite to discuss the details of these laws and how governments and the general public are responding to them.

The conference is going to be held at the Le Meridien Etoile in Paris, and will undoubtedly bring together the biggest players in the online casino industry, as well as those gambling executives curious about stepping into the industry now that legalization is on the forefront of current legislation in Europe.
