The World Poker Finals main event is just around
the corner, and online casino, poker room, sportsbook and more, Bodog, is proud
to say they are sending eleven Bodog players as part of their poker team to the
main poker event being held at Foxwoods Casino in Mashantucket, Connecticut. All
eleven team members qualified to play in the tournament by winning satellite
tournaments in Bodog's online poker room, which is one of the more popular and
competitive poker rooms currently hosted on the Web.
Poker pro, David Williams, will be leading the
Bodog poker team into action - team which Bodog founder, Calvin Ayre, says all
eleven players stand a great chance at surviving until the final table and
winning the entire tournament. Having already sent five-hundred, online
qualifying players to the World Series of Poker, all of whom walked away from
these games with combined earnings of $15 million, Ayre most certainly is not
exaggerating. Although most of this $15 million went to one player - Jamie Gold,
who recently became one of the largest winners in poker history - most Bodog
players have been placing in the upper half.
Foxwoods houses the largest casino poker room in
the United States, which will undoubtedly be packed with poker players come
November 12. This year's total jackpot is expected to surpass last year's $7.8
million purse, which handed out $2.1 million to the first place finisher. Set in
picturesque reservation lands of Connecticut, Foxwoods Casino will be serving as
a retreat and getaway for many of the players who will be traveling throughout
the world to attend one of the most esteemed and highly anticipated poker
tournaments of the year.
As for Bodog, they already have plans to hold to
their online qualifier tournaments for the World Poker Tour's LA Poker Classic
at Commerce Casino, held in late February, 2007. In the meantime, Bodog's online
poker room continues guaranteeing $3.5 million in monthly pool revenue hosted on
their highly realistic proprietary software platform.
