Online Blackjack Tournament, Get21, Unveiled by Zone4Play

Zone4Play Inc. has long been a leading developer of interactive gaming solutions, including mobile online casino, television and web software applications. Based in Wilmington, Delaware, Zone4Play has been offering a wide range of gaming technology solutions for several years. Their latest offering, revealed in a company press release, is their new online blackjack tournament host, Get21. Announcing its grand opening this month, Get21 allows blackjack players to compete in organized tournaments against one another, rather than against the casino.

A project that has been long in the making, Get21 was developed through the Zone4Play subsidiary, Gaming Ventures PLC, who has been using two primary business models to market the new site. Get21 Ltd (a wholly owned subsidiary of Gaming Ventures) will be directly marketing the online blackjack host to players, while RNG Gaming Ltd (another Gaming Ventures subsidiary) will be licensing the software and gaming technology to third parties, much in the same way that internet gaming software developers license their betting platforms to online casinos themselves. Get21 also has an affiliate program in place, designed to insure the fastest possible distribution of its online service.

Golden Palace Casino, who is a Playtech software licensee, is now going to be teaming up with Get21 after signing a service agreement that allows both sites to share each other's community of players. According to the agreement, Golden Palace Ltd. will receive a minority share of revenue produced by the Get21 online blackjack tournaments, which is available in several languages, including English, French and Spanish.

Chief Executive Officer and founder of Zone4Play, Shimon Citron, said the release of Get21 represents a developmental milestone for Zone4Play. With dedicated multi-player blackjack sites not being nearly as ubiquitous as online casinos and poker rooms, the demand for online blackjack tournaments has not been as high as traditional gaming and most operators have not looked to exploit it. Zone4Play, however, is seeing it as a grand opportunity to create a consumer brand as a result of a large, positive response from the players.
