Macau, and its remarkable overnight growth, is one of the hottest topics in the land-based casino world. Many gaming analysts directly link the substantial boom in the casino market in the city as one that reflects the subsequent boost in the Asian gambling market as a whole. Other elements which are effecting the prediction of a continuously flourishing casino market in Asia are the increasingly more relaxed attitudes of the eastern culture toward gaming, and less of the characteristically Western stigma toward gambling.

For the past several years, Las Vegas itself has been actively courting their influx of Asian visitors and gamblers in recognition of their growing and enthusiastic participation in Las Vegas' casino industry. And for Western-based casino professional who are on top of the game, they know that it is of the utmost importance to get a leg up on this booming market base, which now includes attending the Global Gaming Expo aptly being held in the casino gambling Mecca of Macau.

This year's conference is being organized by the American Gaming Association and Reed Exhibitions with a very deliberate focus on the changes within the industry and market growth specifically in Asia. Some of the more anticipate seminar topics include "Making it in Macau" and in-depth examinations in how technology has and will continue to fundamentally shift how the casino industry operates and is enjoyed. The Global Gaming Expo will also delve into other subjects of particular interest, such as upcoming law and regulation issues and potential industry projections for the Asian casino and gambling markets. Given China's unique needs for the gaming industry, many operators are looking to find more specific guidance on how to best satisfy the country's guidelines for responsible gaming.

This year's convention is being sponsored in part by the University of Nevada, which interestingly has a campus in Singapore, and also by the International Gaming Institute. Each will recognize all of the attendees as participants and official recipients of vital information and insight into the Asian gaming market and the casino industry in its entirety, much of which will shed light on the best potential investment forecasts of the industry as well.
