Playtech Online Casino Software Earnings Skyrocket

Online Casino Conditions Staff
May 3, 2006

Online casino software manufacturer, PlayTech, recently announced the company's first quarter earnings were ahead of market expectations, much to the pleasure and non-chagrin of investors and executives.  It should likewise be good news to the players themselves, for it insures that PlayTech will continue putting more time and energy into developing online casino gaming applications and expanded customer service to licensees who opt for the full package of services offered by PlayTech.

Known for their exceptional online gaming graphics, customer service, security features and online cashier/payment processing services, PlayTech has proven to stockholders they are striving to continue leading the way in the online gambling industry.  Now with 115 casino licensees, PlayTech is arguably the largest and most sought after online casino developer in the business.

Compared to first quarter earnings in 2005, PlayTech increased its total revenue by an astounding 147%.  This figure corresponded to an increase of 136% in online casino revenue and an climb of over 159% in online poker income.  Although the company still has a relatively low count of poker players in its database, much is being done to expand PlayTech's poker software, including a new platform currently in development.

The most achievement last year came from within the Asian gambling sector, where PlayTech was able to double its origin of revenues.  In regards to the North American market, this fell from 67% to 53%, but was offset by impressive growth in the European market, which rose nearly 6%.  According to PlayTech CEO, Avigur Zmora, the latest origin of revenue figures verify PlayTech's commitment to diversifying its market reach.  The Asian market has particularly shown trends of fast growth, which PlayTech was fast to tap into - not only to balance its geographical portfolio, but to insure entrance into markets having the potential of generating large amounts of business.

The growth of PlayTech's current online casino licensees further reveals that not only is the software manufacturer providing top quality services, it also sheds light on the potential of the online gambling industry, which although barely fifteen years old, has become a multi-billion enterprise.
