The Microgaming online poker network has been at
the forefront of the satellite tournament scene for the last week, having given
away an impressive accumulation of jackpot earnings and buy-ins to the
professional poker circuits most anticipate, big-money tournaments. And to top
it all off, the renowned online software and gaming solutions developer still
has more buy-ins to give away through their far-reaching online poker network.
Last week alone, Microgaming gave away a total of
$400,000 in buy-ins to thirty-two tournament winners at seventeen different
online poker rooms in the Microgaming poker network. Twenty players grabbed
$9,000 buy-in packages to the EPT Dormund, which is scheduled to begin this
week, while ten other skillful players were each bestowed with $16,600 buy-ins
to the EPT Monte Carlo taking place over the last weekend of March.
One of the most celebrated of popker tournaments -
the World Series of Poker (WSOP) - is at the centere of a giant promotion in
which a series of online satellite tournaments for the WSOP finals - valued at
$15,000 each - will be given away (the first of these was already given away on
March 4). Additionally, Microgaming is throwing an all-inclusive promotion in
which six players will each win $50,000 sorth of buy-ins to the WSOP tournament
of their choice, as well as be pampered with two paid roundtrip airfares to Las
Vegas, five-star accommodations and $3,500 in spending cash.
With all this going on, Microgaming CEO, Roger
Raatgever, was quick to issue a press release detailing the news. Raatgever made
it clear that the Microgaming online poker network believes that players are
entitled to more than just having their buy-ins covered to the world's biggest
poker tournaments. Helping players get to the tournaments, paying for
accommodations and even providing ground support are all part of their generous
package deals. Much the same can be said about Microgaming's large family of
online casino licensees and gaming operators.
