The Global Interactive
Gaming Summit and Expo (GIGSE) is one of the most attended networking events for
the global online gambling industry. Now that the 2007 GIGSE has wrapped up
(earlier this month), the founder/organizers of GIGSE, River City Group, are
already on the move to organize the next Global Interactive Gaming Summit and
Expo. River City Group is one of the premiere consulting and publishing services
for the gaming industry, organizing several i-gaming related conferences
throughout the year and publishing informative reports and updated news through
its website iGamingNews.
CEO for River City
Group, Sue Schneider, recently sent out a press release to industry folks,
including Online Casino Conditions, requesting for input as to where GIGSE 2008
should be held. Considering the apprehension of several online casino and gaming
site operators to hold an internet gaming conference in the U.S. or other
countries where online gambling is facing opposition, River City Group is trying
to get an idea about where industry professionals would feel comfortable holding
a gaming conference.
Some of the criteria
that Schneider is asking folks to consider are the availability and convenience
of international air flights, venues that can hold at least 1,000 attendees and
which offer substantial IT infrastructure for accommodating the needs of
company's who choose to exhibit their wares at the expo. Whoever is sincerely
interested in attending GIGSE 2008 is being urged to fill out a brief survey
with the aforementioned considerations in mind. The survey can be found through
River City Group's website, http://s.rivercitygroup.com/index.cfm?page=gig08sur
