It is only a matter of time before online gambling
enthusiasts and professionals in the online casino gambling industry get wind of
the newly formed Global Remote and E-Gambling Research Institute (GREGRI).
The first private, non-profit, organization committed to researching the
internet gambling industry from head to toe, GREGRI seeks to specifiy its
research on economical, psychological, societal, legal and the regulatory
components of the online gambling business.
Located in Amsterdam, Netherlands (the host country
for the Casino Affiliate Convention held in April), GREGRI is currently seeking
sponsors who are willing to financially contribute to the cause of their
mission. In return for donating subsidies that will be bestowed with a
Bronze, Silver or Gold sponsorship level, contributing companies will benefit
from the pertinent research and studies that GREGRI pursues in helping to
further the growth of the online casino gambling industry.
While still a young entity on the internet, GREGRI
has high ambitions of being an internationally recognized non-profit
organization for its own contribution to the e-gaming business. At this
stage - which will be an ongoing task for the group - GREGRI is seeking out to
bring together companies from various sectors within the gambling industry.
This would include the facilitation of dialogue between online gambling
operators and fellow researchers. In fact, much of the contributions
received by GREGRI will be disbursed in the form of research grants to qualified
groups and individuals.
Bringing another wave of ethical solutions and
practices to the online betting industry is a major focus and concern for the
Global Remote and E-Gambling Research Institute, which already has proposed to
concentrate these efforts in the areas of online casino marketing and
management. Also on the agenda, is an inaugurate conference that promises
to bring together experts from several gambling-related disciplines to talk
about the current and future state of online gambling.
