Mt. Rose Station Casino Resort
will be catering to the local residents of Nevada, which is something the
company has done a great job doing. Their partial ownership of the Green
Valley Ranch in Southern Nevada has helped to contribute to that properties
growth, which since first opening has expanded over two-fold in the number of
room accommodations. Much like Green Valley, Mt. Rose Station Casino
Resort plans to open with three-hundred rooms on 500,000 square feet of
property, leaving plenty of room for two-fold expansion if necessary.
And to best insure the
possibility of expansion, Station Casinos needs to be sure they are giving what
the local residents want. Of course, a good portion of the casinos
business will still come from outside visitors, however, the continued
sustenance of the casino resort will come from nearby residents. This is
precisely why Station has included in their survey the options of selecting
Seafood, Asian and Mexican restaurants, as well recreation and entertainment
amenities like movie theatres and an ice skating rink.
Addressing the concerns that
many residents have already vocalized (Station Casinos publicly announced their
intentions to build Mt. Rose Station Casino Resort before the mailing), the
survey assures residents that steps will be taken to alleviate heavy volumes of
traffic, as well as insuring the casino does not encroach on local schools.
Construction could begin as early as three years.
