If you ever wanted to learn all you could about slot machines, now's your chance. WMS Gaming Inc., who is primarily known for their casino slot machines, has begun to trump up their Slot Machine University ever since it has been given an education accreditation from the International Association for Continuing Education and Training (IACET). Catering to professionals who work in all areas of slot and casino gaming technology, the training course aims to certify technicians armed with the knowledge to provide support and maintenance to networked gaming systems and machines.

WMS Gaming Inc., which is a subsidiary of WMS Industries, recently issued a press release announcing their certified learning solutions partner, Element K, obtained the accreditation. They also shed some detail about the course, which is the first of its kind to have received an accreditation from the IACET.  And now with certification exams, the program certainly stands out amongst other slot technology courses.

Besides covering the scientific and engineering principles used in casino gaming technology, the courses begin with basics of slot machine functionality, thus making it suitable to beginning technicians. Being an online learning program, the course allows students to progress at a rate they are comfortable with. Frequent tests and interactive online applications give students a "hands on" opportunity to put their knowledge to work in troubleshooting scenarios focused on fixing and performing preventing maintenance to casino slots. The pinnacle of the course covers advanced networking for server based gaming, which will no doubt be the technology of choice for more casinos in the near future.

Christopher Challender, who is the Director of Slot Machine University, said the course has evolved by taking heed of customer suggestions. Characterized as a customized slot course, Challender says the multi-media tools and authority manuals are essential in helping technicians improve their skills in providing maintenance to the increasing number of casino slot makes and models now on the market.
