The River City Group is well known for hosting some
of the best conventions in the online casino gaming industry. One of the latest
events being organized by this well respected media publisher is the second
annual World Poker Congress scheduled on November 29-30, 2007. The news is now
out that, once again, the keynote address will be jointly given by World Series
of Poker Commissioner, Jeffrey Pollack, and World Poker Tour President, Steve
Lipscomb.
Two of the biggest names in the poker business, not
to mention rival competitors, Lipscomb and Pollack are sure to offer great
insight into the poker gaming industry - both online and offline. Although
having their primary interests in the land-based poker community, both men
apparently understand just how vital the role of online poker plays in the
continued success and growth of their respected poker tournament circuits.
Taking place at the Westin Dragonara Resort in St.
Julian's, Malta, the World Poker Congress seeks to develop the synergies between
the online and land-based poker gambling industries. Some of the topics to be
discussed at this year's congress include tournament management, new game
introduction, technological advances, rake protocols and fraud
detection/prevention. A must-attend event for online poker room operators, the
second annual World Poker Congress will open the floor for discussion on how to
build player bases, staging tournaments, marketing poker rooms and the
particulars of online poker regulation in Europe.
Of course, the central theme throughout the World
Poker Congress will be about the integration of the offline and online poker
industries and how to continue expanding the global reach of both sectors.
President of River City Group, Sue Schneider, said she is very excited to once
again host the stage for Lipscomb and Pollack, whose presence will certainly
result in a large turnout of the poker industry's movers and shakers.
