Over the last one-and-a-half years, World Poker Tour
Enterprises has used the casino gambling software platform developed and
provided for them by WagerWorks. This relationship is about to end now
that World Poker Tour founder and CEO, Stephen Lipscomb announced his company
will be using a new software platform developed by the California based online
casino software developer, CyberArts.
Lipscomb announced the news while
giving his keynote address at the World Poker Congress recently held in
Stockholm. The move to switch to CyberArts stemmed from an honest
assessment that WPTE needed to take wptonline.com to another level. With a
new custom platform developed by CyberArts, Lipscomb said that WPTE will be able
integrate a more customizable software interface, as well as cater to online
poker players on a larger, more global scale.
As for CyberArts, the deal with
WPTE marks the second high-profile agreement within a few weeks time span.
The company recently signed a deal with Gibraltar-based Mansion to customize an
online poker platform for their booming gambling business. According to
the WPTE Project Managers for CyberArts, Chris Derossi and Ken Arnold, the new
wptonline.com platform will be programmed in several different languages, as
well as offer real-money betting in several currencies.
Both companies are confident the
new relationship will help to make World Poker Tour Enterprise's online
operations the best in the business - drumming up competition for other big
online poker and casino sites like Bodog and Party Gaming. The plan is to
develop an online poker game that is the most innovative on the internet, and
coupled with an unsurpassed dedication and commitment to each and every player
signed with wptonline.com.
