Online casino software and gaming solutions
developer, Cryptologic, has officially announced they have signed a Memorandum
of Understanding with two high profile Asian gaming companies - 568 Network and
Brilliance Technology - to bring online gambling entertainment to the expanding
internet gaming markets of Macau, Hong Kong, Taiwan and China. According to
their press release, the three companies will combine assets to form a single
operation for adapting Cryptologic's online casino software package into a
platform suited to the Chinese market.
Rather than offering a standard selection of
Western games, this platform will primarily be comprised of adapted online
casino games, casual and skill games, such as mahjong, as well as poker games.
No other company is more suited to help make this happen than 568 Network, who
already holds a license from China Welfare Lottery through its Asia based
subsidiary. 568 Network has been quite successful in Asia, having developed
several card/skill games, such as "Fight Landlord", "Za Jin Hua", "Dragon Ball"
and "Lian Lian Kaan".
As for Brilliance Technology, they too have an
established presence in Asia. Providing extensive IT services in China,
Brilliance will be charged with developing "play-for-fun" and "play-for-money"
subscriptions to the new breed of Cryptologic games, which will become available
at thousands of internet cafes and via mobile phones, which a significant
portion of the Chinese population uses. Brilliance will ultimately be doing what
they do best - Implementing banking and processing applications for the
new online casino game hybrids.
As for Cryptologic, they have already acquired the
necessary permits needed to offer their games in China and throughout Asia. This
partnership represents another phase in the company's master plan to infiltrate
the Asian gambling industry, which is one of the fastest growing and potentially
profitable markets in the world. Already making up for lost business in the U.S.
market, Cryptologic is well on their way at becoming a mainstay in Asia.
