GIGSE 2007 Urging an Online Gambling Industry Group Huddle

Clarion Events and the River City Group have been quite busy of late planning upcoming online gambling industry conferences and gatherings - all of which are some of the most widely attended expos and conferences all year long. This years Global Interactive Gaming Summit and Expo (GIGSE), which is scheduled for June 5-7 at the lovely Palais de Congres in Montreal, will mark the ninth consecutive year that GIGSE has been bringing industry folks together on a global scale. GIGSE continues to be the most internationally attended and comprehensive online gambling conference all year. Last year alone, residents from over sixty countries attended GIGSE in Montreal.

The River City Group recently sent out a press release announcing the kick-off and theme of GIGSE 2007, which has been aptly renamed from "Ahead of the Curve" to "It's a New Game". Considering the recent seismic shifts the online casino, poker and sports betting sectors have been faced to deal with, "It's a New Game" is more than a sufficiently relevant theme. River City Group's Chief Executive Office, Sue Schneider, reiterated that it was more important than ever for the online gaming industry to come together as a group and discuss the options for moving forward in an evolving industry that despite some roadblocks is "here to stay".

River City Group is strongly encouraging anyone in the business to attend GIGSE 2007 - so much so, in fact, that River City Group is lowering registration and exhibition fees in consideration of many businesses being forced to make cutbacks due to a loss in U.S. players. Full registration fees have been cut back $200 to $1,195 per person, while Expo-Only registration has been reduced $100 down to $595 for individuals and $495 per person for groups of two or more. Schneider said there will be no skimping on the quality of GIGSE 2007. She is optimistic that it will be the same size, if not greater, than previous Global Interactive Gaming Summit's.

On the agenda will be the latest in governmental policy developments throughout the world, including developing markets like that of South America and Asia (Clarion Events and River City Group also host the Pacific Conference on iGaming) and liberalizing markets like those of Spain, Italy and Scandinavia. Emerging technology in age verification, geo-targeting and online casino gaming applications will certainly be addressed by high profile industry speakers via workshops and discussions. Registration has already begun, and can be done so through www.gigse.com.
