Casino News Article of the Month: Absolute
Poker Does Not Deserve Online Gambling
Business
We start off the month of December with an update
on the cheating scandal that took place nearly two
months ago at Absolute Poker. Apparently, Absolute
Poker and the Kahnawake Gaming Commission thinks the
matter is water under the bridge. Let's just stop
talking about it, let some time pass by, and act
like it never happened, shall we? That way, we will
all forget that it happened. Well, aside from the
vague explanation that it was some unnamed employee
responsible for hacking into Kahnawke's casino
servers, nothing else has been done. Kahnawake says
they were subjecting Absolute to a full audit by an
independent auditor, but has not released any
details nor undertaken a formal investigation about
the accusations that Absolute Poker's founder was
the "unnamed employee", rather than some computer
geek. That being the case, Online Casino Conditions
takes the formal stance of recommending that all
players cease from gambling at Absolute Poker.
Player trust is a delicate matter, and the fact that
it was broken, followed by a cover up and denial,
and now the lacsidasical attitude about the whole
matter, is the greatest insult to all online
gamblers. Short of blacklisting Absolute Poker, we
issue a strong warning for all players to stay clear
of this poker site.
