North American Video Opens New Office for Wynn Macau Casino

by Colby Lewis, News Staff

Ushering in the second phase of video surveillance expansion at the Wynn Macau Casino, North American Video has opted to open a new office in Macau. Due to such a large scope of the Wynn Macau project, as well as a growing network of Asia based gaming clientele, North American Video thought it best to open a new hub to better provide the highly personable services they are known for. A presence in Macau will also help the company to develop new partnerships in what is considered one of the fastest growing casino gambling sectors in the world.

North American Video is a well-respected provider of security surveillance and point of sale (POS) systems. They previously installed the security surveillance systems at Wynn Casino Las Vegas, and have many years experience advising and consulting consumer services with high risk security needs. North American Video is now apparently making a jump into global waters, contrary to what their name may otherwise imply.

Managing the Macau center offices will be Sam Smith, whose impressive resume and leadership overseeing the first installation phase of security systems at Wynn Macau Casino makes him an ideal choice. President of North American Video, Cynthia Freschi, expressed her utmost confidence in Smith's capabilities, citing the work he has been integral in getting done at Wynn Macau. Even larger than the security system at Wynn Las Vegas, the Macau project includes over 2,000 surveillance cameras providing coverage for over 200 table games and 380 slot machines in 100,000 square feet of casino floor space, a shopping esplanade, spa, six restaurants and cashier's cage.

Phase I saw the implementation of this fully digital system in all of the aforementioned areas, while Phase II will see extended coverage to all of these areas,  including surveillance for two original works of art by Henri Matisse and Renior, which are on display in reception areas at the Macau casino. Being the art buff that he is, Steve Wynn could not resist putting some of his amazing collection on display.

Expressing her sentiments as to why North American Video has achieved great success in its field, Ms. Freschi referred to the long-term relationships the company cultivates with all of their clients. Considering the technicalities of operating and maintaining security surveillance platforms as large as those which North American Video integrates, it is inevitable that support service and guidance will be needed following the initial installation. Freschi says her company prides itself on giving this service, which a fixed presence in Macau will now assuredly facilitate.
