Cherry Online, the internet counterpart to Cherry
Casino may soon be under the name of Betsson if
restructuring plans within the company go as
planned. Cherry Online Casino is owned and
operated by Cherryforetagen, a Swedish gambling
company that has been enormously successful in past
years. A publicly traded company, the
announcement to restructure the business into three
distinct entities came from the Board of Directors.
The decision to split
the company into three operational divisions, was
made after careful analysis of company developmental
models. The majority opinion is that the
company as a whole will be able to grow and profit
on a larger scale if each company division is given
special attention. Additionally, by splitting
the company up into individual sectors, added
transparency will allow current stock holders and
potential investors to allocate their funds in a
more strategic way.
The Board of Directors
is also predicting that with increased traffic in
their online operations - chiefly Cherry Online
Casino and marketing campaigns - greater profit and
exposure will draw future investors. Traffic
to Betsson, which is currently Cherry Online, will
be doubled in fiscal year 2006. Although investor
focus will be put on land-based Cherry Casino
operations, all three sectors will be further
developed and expanded.
The three prospective
sectors are to be Betsson, which Cherry Online will
be fully integrated into, Net Entertainment, which
will serve as an online casino games software
developer and leasing agent, and Cherry Casino,
which will consist of all land-based operations at
the Sweden based casino, as well as all gambling
activities on cruise ships.
