The World Poker Tour could not have picked a better place to start off their latest world-renowned poker tournament circuit. Amidst the tropical splendor of the Turks and Caicos Islands in the West Indies, WPT will be kicking off their seventh tournament of this year's sixth season. The Players' Club Turks and Caicos Poker Classic is scheduled to start on September 25th at the Club Med Resort, with two super satellites taking place on the same day and the day prior. A guaranteed jackpot of $1 million will go to the first place finisher, as well as a $25,000 seat at the WPT World Championship.

As always, online poker rooms are holding satellite tournaments for the WPT event. One such poker room is PlayersOnly, which issued a press release yesterday detailing their current satellite schedule and upcoming opportunities to win a trip to the Turks and Caicos, not to mention a seat at the highly competitive tables. For as little as $2, players can qualify for a seat, while PlayersOnly loyalty club members who stand out at the top of the Gold card Poker Tour Leadboard will be up for free seats as well.

The overall prize pack is worth $12,000, which covers the $7,700 entry fee/buy-in and paid accommodations for seven nights at the high end Club Med Resort and $100 toward airfare. Not a bad deal at all, especially is you have frequent flyer air miles to cover the plane ticket. The weekly satellite tournaments at PlayersOnly have been going since July 8th, and will continue every Sunday of the week until September 9th.

Qualifications at Sit 'n Go's and multi-table cash satellites can be obtained the week prior to the satellite, while $200 gets a direct buy-in. As mentioned, two additional prize packages are being given away to Gold Card holders at Players Only, which are obtained by winning real money ring games. The Top 100 Gold Card holders will compete in playoff matches leading up to the WPT event. For those unfamiliar with Players Only, they host a high energy poker room catering to men who like to mix their poker with deep house club music, cigars and beautiful women.
