Las Vegas Casino Reservations Offered in U.S. Airports

Online Casino Conditions Staff
August 9, 2006

Las Vegas is certainly a global destination.  However, were it not for the consistent stream of traffic that Las Vegas gets from locals and nearby California, it would not be as thriving and diverse as it now is.  Recognizing this fact, the popular Vegas.com website - where visitors can find out everything they want to know about Vegas - opened a Vegas traveler kiosk in the Bob Hope Airport in Burbank, California, and is planning to do the same in several airports throughout major cities in the U.S.

Vegas.com is in the business of putting together vacation packages to Las Vegas, arranging everything from helicopter rides and tee times at the golf course, to casino resort reservations and passes to the Bellagio Casino buffet and VIP nightclubs.  According to Las Vegas hospitality statistics, there were approximately 38.6 million visitors to Las Vegas in 2005.  Of those, over 1.5 million (or 4%) waited until the day they arrived in Vegas to book their hotel and casino resort accommodations, while the majority of visitors wait until arriving in Vegas to book most of their entertainment, recreation and non-casino gambling related activities.

CEO and President of Vegas.com, Howard Lefkowitz, said the company's debut kiosk in California will house a fulltime staff from 6 a.m. to 10 p.m., with more staff members on call during peak busy hours. He went on to say that Burbank provides a great deal of traffic to Las Vegas, sending up to fourteen flights a day to McCarran International Airport in Vegas, which will serve as a tuning-ground for the kiosk in several other U.S. cities, including more larger airports such as Los Angeles International.

All of the Vegas kiosks will be located beyond security checkpoints, so as to enable travelers to give themselves permission to officially start their Las Vegas vacation. Lefkowitz says nobody could possibly miss the Vegas kiosks for they will be topped by a very large marquee with the company's name and likeness.  In airports like Burbank's, which charge $10 to go online, the Vegas.com service kiosk should be even more popular, since all the casino gambling and resort accommodations that could me made online, can be made directly at the kiosk.
