Keeping the trend going for the internet's leading
online casino software developers, PlayTech Software has reported impressive
financial results for the first half of 2006. Upon the release of their second
quarter earnings, PlayTech has confirmed speculations that 2006 would result in
a minimum of 100% increases across the board in online gaming revenue in
comparison to overall company revenues at the close of 2005. In fact, overall
revenue rose by a massive 139%, while those funds generated strictly from online
casino gambling were up by 129% and those of poker activity were up by an
amazing 851% increase.
Total revenue for the first half of 2006 is valued
at $46.2 million, with an adjusted net profit of $37.3 million (a 172%
increase). Now with over forty-two online gaming operators using the Playtech
software platform, and operating a total of 137 gambling sites (an addition of
twenty-two sites since the start of 2006), PlayTech has unequivocally clinched
its position as one of the top software providers for the industry, not to
mention a purveyor of online transaction security and a global force in the
financial world.
The Chief Executive Officer of Playtech, Avigur
Zmora, expressed sentiments that he was not surprised by the figures,
considering PlayTech has been strategically positioning itself to expand its
reach and services in an exponentially expanding online casino gambling
industry, which now holds major prospects in the Asian sector. Geographical
diversification was the key to PlayTech's success in 2006, said Zmora, in
addition to a continually expanding platform of casino games and software
solutions.
This successfully implemented plan has
characteristically been highlighted by three online gaming site migrations (each
having a previous concentrated player pool of European and Asian online
gamblers), four other distinct casino licensee agreements, and the developments
of Playtech's new mobile and video bet gambling platforms, not to mention their
targeted Mahjong platform which is already proving to be vastly popular with
Asian gamblers.
