When it comes to realistic online casino and poker games, software
manufacturers such as Cryptologic (InterPoker), PlayTech
(Titan Poker), and MicroGaming are known for
offering the best there is in an online platform. Although there are some fine,
smaller propriety software companies in the business, many of them have not
obtained the notoriety of the larger software providers who must be given credit
for helping to found the online casino gambling industry to begin with. Still,
there remains a movement from other online gaming companies to set a new
precedent in gambling software technology. One such company to recently do
so is PKR.
Undergoing public BETA testing at the current time, PKR's 3D poker software
should be available to the online casino gambling community by summer's end.
Sneak previews of the software reveal a highly realistic playing interface that
takes customization to an unprecedented level. According to PKR CEO Malcolm
Graham, the player avatars can be developed with a variety of options that will,
in essence, allow no two players to look exactly the same.
The thought of such
customization and for what it exactly entails is exciting news, considering most
other online casino and poker software platforms give players a limited
selection of avatars, thus making it a common occurrence for players to play
against other players who look exactly like them!
The other feature that PKR is offering on their poker platform has been in
the development phases at other online casinos and poker rooms, which entails
implementing one of the most influential aspects of land-based poker: Tells.
Being called Emote Control, this online software feature enables players to
purposefully exhibit a wide range of emotions and body language.
The founder of PKR, Jez San, said the idea to bring "tells" to online poker truly completes a
true virtual reality. Just like in traditional brick 'n mortar casino
poker rooms, the strategy of bluffing and reading bluffs is instrumental to
playing a successful game of poker. By keeping all cards face down on the poker
table, players can see each other's reactions when peeking to view their own
cards. Online casino players beware - PKR's latest software platform could
force you to play an even tougher hand of online poker.
