With the time drawing closer on who will be
appointed the rights to sixteen pre-approved casinos in the UK, more individual
parties are stepping up to express their interests. The latest is
millionaire businessman, Rinaldo Fasulo, who currently has stake in UK's
Broadway Entertainment Complex, Gaston Restuarants and the Sessions House.
Rinaldo announced that he is willing to invest £50
million into a new, flashy casino, which he backed by writing a letter to
Peterborough City Council Chief Executive, Gillian Beasley, asking her to
consider the fact that he has invested nearly £25 million into the city of
Peterborough. In fact, Peterborough City council has already contacted the
Casino Advisory Panel and applied for their right to bid for one of the sixteen
casinos.
A former nightclub owner, Rinaldo hopes the City
Council will back a local businessman in heading up a charge for building the
casino. He believes that a property in Peterborough cannot stand to lose,
for it would undoubtedly attract high rollers and tourists who already
substantial amounts of money into the local economy.
